Danny Gatton’s major label debut, released in 1991 on Elektra Records. Recorded at Bearsville Studios in New York and Big Mo Studio in Wheaton, Maryland. The all instrumental album earned a Grammy nomination and is widely considered Gatton’s masterpiece, spanning jazz, country, rockabilly, and blues across eleven tracks. Features Gatton’s Telecaster wizardry on originals like “Elmira St. Boogie” and “Pretty Blue,” alongside covers of “The Simpsons” theme, “Quiet Village,” and “In My Room.” Backed by John Previti on upright and electric bass, Shannon Ford on drums, Bill Hollomon on saxophone and keyboards, and Tommy Lepson on organ.
