Danny Gatton’s sophomore solo album, recorded at Big Mo Studio in Wheaton, Maryland and released in 1987 on NRG Records. Rated number 10 of the top 100 albums of the 80s by Guitar World Magazine. The album spans jazz, country, rockabilly, and blues with Gatton’s trademark Telecaster wizardry across eight tracks, including the Les Paul tribute “Cherokee,” an eerie take on the Jackie Gleason theme “Melancholy Serenade,” and a blistering reworking of “Sleepwalk.” Backed by John Previti on bass, Dave Elliott and Brooks Tegler on drums, Jon Carroll on Hammond B3, and Roger McDuffie on saxophone.
